E2 – Best Practices for Incorporating Trauma-Informed Principles into Clinical Supervision

Many individuals in the US experience at least one trauma before adulthood. Counselors often work with individuals who have experienced trauma, which can also negatively impact them. Trauma-informed supervision (TIS) is an effective practice to help prepare supervisees to engage in trauma-focused work and increase their wellness. The presenters will discuss the need for TIS, review its principles and empirical evidence, and share practical tools and interventions for supervisors to integrate TIS into their clinical supervision.
