As a marginalized population, persons in a carceral setting often have clinical considerations overlooked due to stigma and unconscious bias. While identifying assessment tools for suicide risk for incarcerated populations, presenters will identify clinical considerations particular to this client population. Considerations will include client conceptualization, treatment approaches, risk factors, protective factors, trauma sensitive interventions, and treatment implications. Attendees will participate in case studies to apply knowledge and practice skills.
