Dr. Eakin is an American School Counselor Association site-based trainer on Enhancing Intrinsic Motivation to Change and Achieve (EIMCA). He has presented or co-presented EIMCA workshops in PA, GA (3), NJ, HI, and LA. He has presented or co-presented on Motivational Interviewing at eight ASCA Conferences and two Evidence-Based School Counseling Conferences. In addition, he taught motivational strategies in classes at both Oregon State University and Lewis and Clark College and is currently working with two school districts in Oregon and one in Wyoming in preparing a team to lead the district’s motivation and change initiative.
