"There are four words that every child in the world knows, and those are 'tell me a story'" (Hewitt, 2009). This presentation will explore creative elements of storytelling and how to utilize specific techniques when working with children who have experienced trauma. The presenter will demonstrate how the use of bibliotherapy, trauma-focused narratives, and expressive arts can be effectively implemented as a therapeutic approach for treating trauma.
