To date, little is known regarding how providers and organizations can create a culture of trauma-informed approach in providing gender affirming care. Transgender and gender diverse people across the lifespan encounter significant trauma, most of which chronic and complex in nature. Through multicultural and intersectional approaches, this presentation discusses trauma-informed care including its principles and practice as well as practical considerations for implementing trauma-informed care transgender and gender diverse people across the lifespan in various clinical settings.
