This presentation seeks to empower counselors working with LGBTQ+ clients and students to view authentic living as a unique medium of artistic expression. This view suggests that the heart of the human experience is to “invent and create and find a place to speak and to thrive and to live” (Bell Hooks). The session will explore the use of creativity in addressing various mental health concerns. Participants will develop foundational skills in framing life as a creative medium to empower clients.
