There are currently calls in our profession to engage in cultural humility (Hook et al., 2013) and develop culturally responsive practices (Lee & Haskins, 2020). This panel of licensed counselors will discuss their experiences with developing their knowledge and skills in this area and the various ways they apply these concepts to their practice. The presentation will also touch on barriers to being a culturally responsive counselor and review assessment tools to gain personal insight (Gonzalez, Sperandio, Mullen, & Tuazon, 2021).
