Building a strong and core sense of self from an early age is critical to success in school and is one of the basic building blocks of success in life. Interventions should target each level in a Multi-Tiered System of Supports so that students graduate from elementary school knowing that they hold integral value and worth, regardless of external markers of success. Using the framework of the School House Model (Radd, 2014), presenters will provide strategies and skills on how to help students utilize helpful self-talk/self-pictures in their daily life.
