Description
Currently, family-based therapy has the strongest evidence-based outcomes for treating adolescent substance use. However, despite all this, family therapy appears to be mismatched between the dissemination methods used by these models and the needs of the provider community. This presentation will focus on conceptual and empirical solutions that much of the recent scholarly research advocates for an alternative strategy to complement manual driven methods.
