So often, students are given “keys” to unlimited information online, without guidance or wisdom. Studies report links between the increase of screen time and its direct impact on the mental health and well-being of students (Brodersen, 2022). As they are faced with challenges that come from unlimited access to information and strangers hiding behind screens, internet safety must be addressed. In this session, two school counselors will share how they implemented a school-wide technology safety week and collected data throughout the process, giving both students and parents tools for success.
