Trauma-informed care has been utilized in various health and human services settings to holistically understand the clients and their experiences as well as to deliver effective, compassionate, and quality care. Although there are written policies and best practices on how professionals and organizations can deliver trauma-informed care, to date, little practical strategies for assessment and implementation of trauma-informed care in clinical settings are being offered. This presentation provides practical strategies for assessing and implementing trauma-informed care in clinical settings.
