This presentation will describe the importance of the school counselor being a part of their building's equity team. We will discuss how the school counselor can use equity focused data to advocate for all students. We will discuss different initiatives that could be implemented and how they can be tied back into the counselor evaluation and goals. This presentation will also provide ideas for professional developments for their building’s staff. Finally, the presentation will also discuss ideas on how to start an equity team at their school/district if there is not one already started.
