Have you considered a brain injury to increase the risk of suicide in someone? Persons with traumatic brain injury are at increased risk for suicide throughout their lifespan. Increasing awareness of vulnerabilities and improving risk assessment for suicide following brain injury is needed. Evidence-based screening tools and interventions that have demonstrated success in prevention of and treatment for suicide.
